INTRODUCING...
The Clinical Voice Foundations Program!
Become a competent Voice SLP
Without the struggle, imposter syndrome and merry-go-round therapy sessions.
You chose this field for a reason
I get it. You wanted to become an SLP because you love to help people. And, I'm guessing if you're here, you also have full on nerd-out level passion for the voice. But although you know without a doubt WHAT you're supposed to do in your career the HOW to get there seems a lot more elusive.
You want to be the person to help patients find their voice (quite literally). You want to feel confident as h*ll working in a voice center, on voice position interviews, and in that session room that, despite not knowing everything, that YOU have a strong foundation and clinical intuition to be able to competently treat any voice or upper airway patient that comes your way.
But instead…
You feel lost on how to achieve your goals of being a competent voice SLP since you've found no comprehensive clinical training opportunities beyond your voice grad class (which feels like it may not have even happened because of the minute surface level knowledge it scratched).
You have the passion, the foundation, and the drive. And you’ve taken all of the CEUS you can get your hands on. But still feel like something is just missing.
You've tried to gain even more voice experience by even reaching out for observations but you feel like you keep reaching a wall.
You may even already have voice patients on your caseload but you just don’t feel entirely confident in what you do in sessions, have so-so success instead of consistent success, and have patients plateaus more often than patients making consistent progress with discharge in 4-6 sessions.
When you think about actually achieving your dream career you know you don't yet have the foundations to get there and it feels makes you feel imposter syndrome HARD. You know you are capable of more but you just don't know how to fill the gaps.
If this is you...I HEAR YOU. I was also there when starting.
Let’s face it.
There’s a big leap you have to make from that one graduate school voice class that barelyyy scratched the surface of voice, to a caseload complex voice and upper airway (remember airway?!) cases, and being in the position of a “specialist” in conjunction with a physician (even when you're just starting).
It seems like a catch-22 that to get a Voice Center Clinical Fellowship (and let's be real, an externship even), that you need to already have clinical foundations in voice, but likeee how are you expected to get those?!
By now you’ve learned that Voice is different than treatment of other areas of SLP. You can’t just read about techniques in a textbook and hope for the best! And we both know that throwing a bunch of resonant hums, working on breathing, and m-word drills just ain’t gonna cut it.
While you keep your cool on the outside in any voice sessions you do have, deep down your mind is running wild with the thought loops along the lines of "this is not working", "what the f*ck am I going to do now" and "I'm out of techniques"... You don't really have a solid idea of what's going to be most helpful for the patient so you feel like you’re constantly throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks. You know the techniques and foundations of voice but have never had the guidance to know how to put all of the basic voice pieces together to know what to actually do with a patient in front of you (who, let's be real, may have zero kinesthetic awareness, strain when they say they feel resonance, and just flat out disbelief that they have LPR even when you educate on necessary recommendations- yes, I've experienced all of these!).

Why learn from me?
Well, first off, I've been there too. I went from having one graduate course on voice that barely scratched the surface to completing my Clinical Fellowship at Mount Sinai Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center and then working as a Clinical Voice Specialist at two of the most highly recognized hospitals in the country, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. I am publishing my master's thesis, and have been an invited presenter at ASHA, The Voice Foundation, The Fall Voice Conference, Harvard Medical School, Boston Children's Hospital, National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association, and more. I'm an Adjunct Professor for Voice Disorders for NYU. I've coached students in graduate school interested in voice, and have mentored student externs in voice.
But enough of the fancy name-game talk. Let’s get to the good stuff. If we’re talking results…my SLP coaching and mentorship clients have gone on to get final round interviews and GET Voice Clinical Fellowship positions at Voice Centers like USC, Lakeshore, Vanderbilt, Emory and voice-focused private practices. They have succeeded in starting joint stroboscopy clinics, formed relationships with local ENTs, and have become so much more competent in owning their voice skills. Plus, the best part?! The new confidence they feel working with voice patients and the success they get with their patients that feels EASY!
So, are you ready to go ALL IN for your dream career?

Are you wondering if you're a good fit for this program?

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT FOR CLINICAL VOICE FOUNDATIONS IF:

- You know you really need to boost your clinical skills but don’t know where to turn
- You want to stop feeling imposter syndrome and start feeling confident with your voice and upper airway patients

FAQs
I’m interested but haven’t worked with a ton of voice patients. Is this program still for me?
I’m not a voice “specialist” but see some voice patients and I want to become more competent in voice. Is this program still for me?
I have a busy schedule. Is there a timeline for completing the modules?
When do I get access?
How is this different from other trainings like MedBridge or CEUs? Which is better for me to take?
Can I get CEUs/Employer Reimbursement for this course?
If I can't join this round can I join another time?
Is this the right program for me or is 1:1 mentorship with you?
Will this program allow me to get a voice CF/SLP position?
You made it all the way to the end...which means you know that this is something that could be exactly what you have been wanting. But your brain is doing its job you ALL the reasons why you shouldn't take the leap.
It might be saying, you don't have the time now, it's an investment, or even that it may not work for you.
I hear you. It's an investment and with any investment it can be a big decision. You SHOULD make sure any program you take feels right for you (I only want people joining who know they 100% WANT this program too). It also requires you to take a big leap in going all the way in and believing that you are actually capable of successfully doing your dream job (oof).
First of all, no matter where you are NOW if you have the commitment and passion to be in voice, you will make it happen. It just takes that first scary step of deciding and going ALL IN.
As for time, some real talk for a second? You will ALWAYS be busy (take it from someone who has finally learned that saying "it's a busy month" on repeat means that I'm just a busy person and that's okay. BUT when you really get clear on priorities of WHAT actions to be doing rather than putting pressure on yourself to do it ALL, that's when you start finding yourself prioritizing time on the actions that will move the needle the most, and not on taking more courses that likely won't help you move forward clinically or career-wise in the way you want.
Think it may not work for YOU specifically? The way I teach this material is for all styles of teaching. Anyone who is dedicated to building their competence can - it's just about having the right support to be able to access that expansion.
And if you are thinking, "why can't I just do this all myself?" You can! You don't NEED any program (mine included) to succeed. You can, and will still, learn by doing. It's about HOW you want your path to look. I took a harder path filled with a lot of "failures", large learning curves, mistakes with patients, patient drop-outs from therapy, voice CF/position rejections, hard lessons, and all the imposter syndrome in between. My goal with this program is to lessen all of that for you. So, can you get there yourself? Yes, I believe you are a resourceful highly competent grad student or SLP. The question is, why do you think you need to struggle through your path by yourself? (Hint: you don't)!
Imagine your career 3 months from now without mentorship or support on your path.
(Pretty much looks like the same old struggle right?). Feeling confused, overwhelmed, not good enough, imposter syndrome? (those are all OPTIONAL). What will change without YOU taking different action?
Now imagine your clinical career path actually feeling confident, empowered, and excited to talk to any potential interviewer about your deep clinical foundations? Imagine working with patients feeling like you can readily handle whatever session roadblocks come up? Imagine feeling passion and FUN during voice and upper airway patient sessions and in growing your skills rather than dread, merry-go-round sessions, or major imposter syndrome?
How would you feel knowing you have a program (and a mentor if you want it!) in your back pocket to just be able to say when you need to, "I just have no idea where to start" and not only have that be OKAY, but to have a foundation to have your own back in easefully work through common voice and upper airway patient challenges.
If you're ready to say YES to voice clinical competence and to the rest of your path in voice, IT'S HERE FOR YOU. You just have to decide.
See you in there :)
